I would say it's Loughton. I can see Lou?ton. there seems to be an extra squiggle under the line that looks like the bottom of a g. However the top of the g is not showing. |

On the 1851 census I have a William Roberts aged 72 living/born in Buckinghamshire, but his birth area was put down as, looks like, London? Could it actually be Loughton? I ask because his wife was born in Whaddon about 4 miles from Loughton. Whats your opinion. At work so will check later-thanks |
