Help on adoption please?

Hello, Hope I have come to the right board.

Could anyone please tell me how I could find out about a possible adoption. It is family I have just found out about for my Mum. Her aunt (which she knew nothing of) and is now deceased, has a different father listed on her marriage certificate as the one stated on her birth certificate.

Any advise is greatly appreciated. We are talking about a period between 1912-1941.

There are a lot of interesting threads on GR about Adoption too.
Under TOP TIPS: Click on "Advanced Search" Type in Adoption & it will bring up the old threads.
