Google search tips

I thought I had this on my threads but cannot find it. Can some kind person please nudge the previous tip or give me tips on searching Google with == ++ etc. Thanks DotK

I've never heard of that method. Whenever I yahoo search, I surround the search with " ", eg "national archives of america" (turns out to be NARA http://www.archives.gov/) and is very successful

If you want something included in you search use the +

eg - typing Liverpool, just brings up info about the city, football time, newspaper

typing Liverpool +Genealogy elimates some of the irrelavant ones

I think Judy in the States had a thread on Googling. If you go to Advanced search you should be able to find her threads ( there are an awlful lot of them!!!)
