My ggggrandmother was called Lizzie Houghton, born 25th January 1872 at 23 West Street in Warwick. On the brith certificate the is a line where her father's name and surname should be, and her mother is called Sarah Ellen Houghton living at the above address.
I have successfully managed to find Lizzie in the 1901 census married to my ggggrandfather Charles John Hydon, but can't find Lizzie in the 1881 census with her mother Sarah Ellen or in the 1891 census. Sarah Ellen seems to give birth to Lizze and then dissapears. I have been through every date to see if she died during child birth, but cannot find a relevant death of a Sarah Ellen Houghton,
please please help me if you can.

Thanks for all the help everyone. I have a Tom Pearce on Lizzie's marriage certificate as a witness, so this must be the man that married Sarah Ellen and he was at his daughters/step daughters wedding! I had tried to find out who this tom pearce was and now I know! I think Ann houghton must be lizzie grandmother. i think sarah ellen must have died somewhere along the line,i'll keep looking. thanks once again i really appreciate it:0
