Sarah,
Would you be so kind as to look up a marriage reocrd for me?

John McCarthy (born 1860 in Ireland) married Annie Beer (born 1860). They married in Napier in 1882.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Alan

This is a website that I use all the time - it has great links to different NZ related sites, including shipping, cemeteries etc.

http://www.coraweb.com.au/nzsites.htm

There was a thread on GR not so long ago which had lots of ideas for searching in NZ.

Another great site if you have family in the late 1800s is paperspast (just google for it). This site has newspapers and I have found reference to many of my family members.

Finally, I have the NZ marriage disk which covers marriages from 1836-1956, so let me know if you want any look ups.

Good luck

Sarah
