What name would be abbreviated to JNO in parish records.

john or jonathon usually

Normally John. I dont think Jonathan was a common name then and would probably have been abbreviated differently

This form is usually a contraction of the latin form of the name John: Johannes, but I've no idea why the O comes after the N in JNO.
