hi lynda
some do seem to have the maiden name on death cert .
i have one that does state her maiden name on death cert, she died 1977
i would take it the who ever registered it , if they new the name or not.

Remember that they show name at death and maiden name only so won't give any indication of more than one husband.

Scottish certs show the parents' names, including the mother's maiden name.
