i have my dads name and date of birth and i think the right regiment he was in during the war |

If you are filling in the Certificate of Kinship to apply for his records you need service number and/or date of birth so you should be ok. |

Hi Chris have you tried nationalarchives.gov.uk thats what i used and they are only £3.50 a copy. |

It depends which war he was in, WWI records are on Ancestry or the National Archives, WWII you have to send off for and they cost £30. |
