Help wanted re marriage certificate

If you have the ref no you dont need to give the date of the marriage. Most of us dont know dates but can always order certs.
Do as Rose says and make sure you tick the box to say you have the ref no then you shouldnt have any trouble

Sounds like you haven't checked the box to say you have the references for your order. If you don't it will ask you for the date.

I have tried to obtain a marriage certificate for my grandparents who married in 1911, however I am being asked the date of marriage which I do not know. This is why I have joined this site to find out these things and not the other way round!! I have a district, vol and page number for the marriage and when it was registered but not the actual date of marriage, I need the marriage certificate to progress further so what do I do next?? Thank you for any help you can give me.
