How do I get copies of Canadian birth, death and marriage certificates? Does anyone know.

It's not easy to access Canadian records. You have to know what province the event occured in. Certificates are a provincial responsibility.

Also in Canada you can generally only get older records. The Ontario BMD is on Ancestry, and you can actually see the original record. For Manitoba see vitalstats.gov.mb.ca/Query.php - you can see enough info usually to know whether it is the one you want. For Saskatchewan see vsgs.health.gov.sk.ca/vsgs_srch.aspx - not complete yet but worth looking at.

For any other province, if you google the province name and vital stats you should find something.

Hope this helps you.
