was it definatly 1904 i found marion bailey born 1909 fylde lancs on ancestry

didnt give middle name though so could be completely wrong

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help me.

I currently have a photocopy of my grandmothers birth certificate though the original was in a very bad state when copied and is now merlin knows where.

I was hoping to try and get another copy the only thing is I can't find any reference for it. I've checked on the bmd site and ancestry and come up with nothing. Has anyone got any suggestions?

Her name was Marion Jane Bailey born 23 Feb 1904 in Blackpool, Fylde Lancashie. Father was John Bailey; mother Minnie.

According to the photocopy she wasn't registred till Apr and I'm guessing it's of the same year. The photcopy is of a copy dated 1914, I'm not sure if that makes a difference. Should I be checking 1914 do you all think?
