Could someone please advise me on how to correct my tree. I have entered my mothers side and am now begining to work on my fathers side but when I entered my paternal grandparents they are showing up way too high, parallel with ancesters on mothers side way back. Is there any way to correct this?

Yep!

Buy FTM (Family Tree Maker)2005. Or...The 'Who do you think you are' one is just the same.

Much more user friendly!

You can get one for about £10. Asda.Tesco...

It allows you to amend mistakes unlike your GR tree.

As long as they are all attached to the correct parents etc, it isn't necessarily a mistake.

Are you looking at your complete tree? If so, all people of the same generation are not 'lined up' parallel as you would think. My dad's grandparents are waaaaay further up than my mum's grandparents but they are all enetered correctly.

Thankyou both of you for your advice, I looked at the family tree maker on saturday in w.h.smiths and that along with bbc who do you think you are were 39.99. So I will be getting along to Asda or Tescos. What a bargain!

Hi,

I made a mistake in the early days, and I emailed GR through Help. Stating what was wrong and they corrected it for me. They did it within 24 hours as well.

Hi Angi,
Thankyou, I`ll do that as I have just made contact with a long lost relative and it would be nice that he could see my tree easily on my paternal side.

The £10 one is just the CD (this is all you need)

The expensive one comes with "so called" freebies like 1901 census and the like....and whatever.
