Does anyone know how to remove other peoples trees and Hot matches that are not required any more from the other trees link on the right hand corner of 'My family tree'? I hope this is understandable!!

I havent tried it, but if you detete the contact, doesnt that also delete all correspondence and tree access?

Yes, deleting a contact will also remove access to the persons tree.

HotMatches are not affected as they are managed separately to contacts. You can only hide them from view, not delete them.

Just re-reading your original message, perhaps we haven't quite answered your question.

When it comes to the connections / links shown on Your Family Tree I am not aware of any option which currently allows you to delete them.

Two questions
First
To remove from dropdown box in family tree
messages
contacts
remove tick against their name by clicking "stop"

Hotmatches
Cannot be removed unless you delete your tree
but can be hidden
tick the box and click "ignore"

None of this takes up any room on your computer so why do you feel you need to delete it ? Just ignore it.
