Does anyone know anything about the origins of the surname TOULMAN, and the variations of the spelling TOULMEN/TAULMAN
TOLMAN/TOULMIN.?
Are they variations of the same name that has changed with time, if so which which is likely to be the oldest variant?
Or are they seperate family names altogether? Any info would be great as I'm having trouble tracing my gran Toulmans side of the family before 1850, both she and relatives came from the West Riding area of Yorkshire.

Kind regards Tracey.

Tracey, I've been responding to your other thread on Records Office with no feedback.
