Hi

Have a wee prob

I have a Thomas Semple b1756

According to LDS his mother and father are Robert Semple and Janet Thompson

Have pulled his birth record on the Scotlands people site his father is listed as William but there is no mothers name

How do i find out who his mother and any siblings are

They are all Avondale/Lesmagahow area

as Scotlands peope gave father as william

There's this one on BVRI but it doesn't give any more info than what you have:

I was hoping to find siblings on BVRI but there are a kazillion Semple births in Avondale with father William.

You see my problem

4th Feb is my Robert

because he died 1844 i cant even see his death cert

just need to pray for miracle and hope i can find a connection elsewhere that gets me further back

BVRI is British Vital Records Index, a set of 16 cd's that you can purchase from LDS Church via the Familysearch site. They are extracted from parish records so quite reliable.
Having said that, I don't really recommend buying them. You have to be really lucky to get a hit. I've never been able to find any of my family on them.
