Is there anyone who could help me find a marriage between sara susanna hawkins and william vickery I don't have a date but I think it would probable be around 1846/47 and possibly in either kent or middlesex, I would be extremely grateful for any help, thankyou.

Thanks but that is far too late as I have them on the 1851 census living in Gravesend Kent .

Thanks Tania, I will take a look. It is strange as she is on every census as Sarah S but yet I cannot find a marriage or any trace of her under this name prior to her marriage, also on my ggrandmothers birth certificate and the records of the childrens baptisms she has used the name Sara Susanna.

Some of my ancestors never got married until after the birth of their seventh (and final) child in 1924 however the "wife" still went by her "husbands" name through all the years they were not legally married - could this have happened in your instance?

This is quite possible as sara had aother partner[after Williams death] with whom she had four children and they never married
