Hi, thanks for the replies, I have him in all the census but am unable to find a birth for him at all, according to the census's he put himself as born in either of the 2 places. There are Lunds in Middleton during the 1700's and some of his family are baptised there also during the 1800 but his birth is not there that i know of. So i wondered if he could have been born in Beverley and brought up in Middleton .

Did he marry after 1837 as the marriage cert would be useful

If someone has access to the Beverley registers could they check a baptism for me please. I am looking for a William Lund born 1807, he died aged 75 in 1883. He gives his birth place on the census' at either Beverley or Middleton on the Wold.I have no parents names as i'm stuck at this point. many thanks Pippa
