GR acknowledge the restriction in their Help Page

"Can I link up someone who appears in my tree twice?

At the moment it is not possible to link up someone who appears twice in your tree, for example, brothers and sisters who married each other, or cousins who got married in your tree. You will have to enter that person twice."

To build on what Louise has advised, you create your tree on your PC using your preferred software, then periodically upload a gedcom file to GR. This way you can overcome some of the limitations of the GR tree.

On here you'd have to enter them twice (maybe in the notes section just write where you'd find the duplicate record)

However if you have a family tree program on your computer - you'd have the option to link them together

Link the grandaughter of one person to the man she married who is in my tree elsewhere? Is there a control i can use or do i have to enter the people twice?
