Hi I am desperate for help on Mable Allen born 1920 do not know where, she married Frederick Goldsmith 1940 in Norwich and
she died 1942 in Norwich Norfolk..
Her father was Arnold Allen and her mother Frances ? I don`t know if or when they got married I can find no wedding for Arnold Allen. Arnold was born 1879 in Whitwell Norfolk and is on 1891 census nothing after that. Both Arnold and Frances died in Norwich and are burried with Mabel.
I did get help before and sent for birth cert for Mabel Allen born Hendon mothers maiden name Clarke but no good.
Very grateful for any help.

the cert you sent for is the only one for 1920 how did you get to her being born 1920?

I look for a marriage for Arnold & Frances using only their 1st names and nothing was coming up, and the records went up to 1927

Do you have Mabel & Frederick's marriage cert because I can't see a marriage listed in 1940

so as you say born 1920 Or 1919 if she was nearly 23 but nothing found in 1919 either for a Mabel reg in Norfolk

Hi yes I do have Mabels marriage cert. also her death cert.
Frances died 1950 in Norwich and Arnold died 1957 in Norwich.
Frances middle name is Hannah.

Is there any possibility that Arnold was in the military? If so, his marriage and Mabel's birth may have been overseas but listed in the "Army births etc overseas" indexes on FindMyPast?

I have done a bit of searching, your Frances Hannah
was 65y when she died 1950, so poss born 1885
by looking for a Frances Hannah found one born Norfolk Dec Q 1885 Blything 4a 834 surname

looking to 1891 census she is down as Fanny H Smith in Whitwell ??? as we know Arnold is'nt to be found 1901 so its seems is Frances/Fanny for 1901,
is part of Norfolk 1901 missing ??
Your Mabel could have been born to Frances / Fanny
if she married ?? or be under Smith any where !!
So we just add to the puzzle ! the 1911 may answer some of your questions but not all.?
