Can you find this person by inputting the name of the ancestor you have in common in the quick search box?

In the hope of clarifying this, I do not want the person's private email address. I want to contact the person through GR. I know their name, I know they are a member. I do not want to involve the person who told me they are a member. Search Trees produces 117 hits, even though it is an uncommon name. If there is no other way to do this, so be it. Sorry to be the cause of such confusion.

Sorry, we are rapidly loosing the plot.

Are you trying to ask if there is any way of getting hold of this persons external email address, as you don't wish to go via GR?

Well, do as advised.......check the 'search trees' section....................

You ask for advice.........................

For the puzzled amongst us, a third party has informed me that they have been in contact with "Fred Bloggs", through GR. I choose not to make contact through that route.

Hope that's ok.

Find them in"search trees".
You may be lucky!

How, then, do you know that the person is a member?

Alistair

Alistair Report 22 Jun 2008 11:46

I have their name, but have not exchanged messages or seen a post by them.

I don't want to put out a public message "Fred Bloggs please contact me".
