Go to
"File"
"Preferences"
and under the heading of Current Project Options click on "Advanced"

In the window on the right "backup" location is shown. Select the drive location where you want to send the data.

If you can copy and paste (onto this thread) the instructions in the programme about saving to a floppy, someone may be able to advise how to go about saving to cd? It sounds as if it should be possible.

Can anyone help please? Dad has The Master Genelogist Silver edition which has all the data of our family tree that we have on his computer. He had a problem the other day and we thought that we had lost the computer. Luckly enough it is now back up and running but I've told him that we need to save it all to disc, incase it happens again and we aren't so lucky next time.

Does anyone know how we can put this onto a cd, have looked in programme and all we can see is saving it to a floppy. Can we do this?
Can anyone help please.
