To find out details about service personnel you need their service records.

Contact details and how to apply for them are in the wiki section of FTF posted earlier.

Applicants for service records should be the eldest next of kin, a charge is made for searching and supplying records but widows of service personnel do not have to pay.

hi jackie,
looking for a julia pitcher who married elijah marshall in kingston deverill wiltshire about 1869/70 they were in the 1871 census married with a son wilfred census ( RG10 1965) would like to know more about her before they married she was born about 1838, any help about before marriage or their marriage would be helpful, thanks frank

Can anyone tell me where I can look to find out a little bit more on where/when my father was in the Navy? He was born in 1941 so would be late 1950's.
