Hi Emma

Don't rush to that conclusion. In 1901, "domestic servant" was one of the main occupations for women.

Ah, then it's definitely her. My dad said she was a servant. Her name was Lily Cheesman. Not sure of her Y.O.B but circa 1885.

Domestic or domestic servant.

Hi
I'm trying to find my Great-Grandmother on the 1901 census. There are a few but one of them states her occupation as 'Domes'. Does anyone know what this is? Thank you Emma
