1901 Address Search to Find the Civil Parish Pleas

Would it be possible to search for an address on the 1901?

The address I have is 5 Tetley Street, (Abram or Bamfurlong) near WIGAN, Lancs.

What I need is the CIVIL PARISH.

I think it would be Wigan or Abram but need to know which to submit an enquiry.

Thanks,
Annette

You can check it out on National Archives - free to search - which will give you an idea of location

Do you actually have documents with the address which are dated 1901?

Reggie,
No, but my family lived there from at least 1909 and were still living there in 1913.

I was hoping that the address existed in 1901

Have you first checked out whether the road had been renamed or the house renumbered?

I did a lot of work for a GR member on a property that was mentioned on the 1901 census. It was pulled down in 1902.

I've done an address search on 1901 online & no matches showing for Tetley Street.

It looks as though the property was built after 1901 or that the street name changed.

THANKS to you all for your help.

Annette

I found this 1901 entry for 5 Tettey Street. Looking at the image it could easily be Tetley with the line from the T crossing the L as well.

I agree with Kirstinruth.

If you go back to the 1901 census and click onto the image. At the top of the page which has Ancestry etc you see Lancashire,Abram.
Click onto Abram and all the Districts and enumerator discriptions come up.
Tetley St is District 1

I think it could be Tetley St since the L has a loop at the top and the T hasnt. If it was Tettey St there wouldnt be a loop
