Are there any witnesses on the marriage cert. One may be from his side of the family.

I'm struggling to find him on an 1841 census at the moment, I'll keep looking.

There are actually 3 extracted entries on igi for a John Gripton born in that area in Staffs, all born to a John and a Mary.

What is his age on the marriage cert? There is an entry on igi which is an extracted one:

John Gripton baptized 28 October 1805 in Gnosall, Staffs. Father John, mother Mary.

Can anyone look up baptisum or any other info for John Gripton who I think was illigitimate as no fathers name apears on his marriage cert to Ann Burgess in 1838 he was living in Bromstead at the time of his marriage and was a servant but where?
