Hi Steve, Richard
I stumbled across Family Tree Builder from Myheritage.com
It allows export and import of EXCEL files. It's wonderful improvement, but can go further still. Here's hoping

I have an Excel macro that will import a Gedcom file into Excel. If you'd like a copy, send me a pm with your email address and I'll forward it on.

Is there a program that will let me export my tree to Excel?

I need to produce a report that lists the main data from my tree, with a separate column for each data type (e.g. surname, forename, DOB, etc).

Ideally I want it to end up in Excel format, to make it easy to sort the data.
