My mother has remembered opening a building society account when she was first married, that she never closed. Trouble is, she can't remember the name of the building society!

It was opposite Marks & Spencers and Goodban's department store, near to the old fire station.

Can anybody out there help? Whatever it was, it's not there now. 50 years of interest may have built up a tidy sum!
