Help Please - FTM 2008 back to FTM 2006

Thanks Peter, but I have decided to keep the 2008 version on my desk top and update the 2006 one until the 2008 one improves, thats if it does at all, such a shame cos I love the layout.

When and if I eventually do decide to use the new version, I can transfer the data from one to the other more easily.

My 2008 version is still in its box, so I cant speak first hand, but I think that the way to do it is to create a Gedcom file and then import this back to the previous version.

I have bought FTM 2008 and exported all the information from 2006 onto it.

Cant decide if I like it enough to carry on inputting on 2008 so if I do, please can anyone tell me if I can transfer back to 2006 at a later date, and transfer the information back again. If so, how do I do it. OH says I cant do it and it doesnt recognise the 2008 file while I try to open it from 2006. Hope you understand.

Any help or advise would be appreciated. Have information to input and need help deciding what to do, I love certain things about 2008 but need the ancestor charts etc., with siblings, which you cant have, and also it is a bit more complicated, (probably because I am used to the other one)
