Deansgate Lane is in Formby, about 12 miles from Liverpool and 4 miles from Southport. At the time in question Formby came under Lancashire, under Merseyside (much to the locals disgust) after the reshuffle in 1973(?).

Edit: don't think it will have been a hospital. Deansgate Lane is all residential, Not a big place, even now, still calls the main shopping centre "The Village". Was even smaller in the 1940's.

Will try and check with my mil later - she is a true "Sandgrounder".

Hi everyone, is somebody out there with knowledge of Liverpool, have tried to Google it but no luck, does anyone know if this was a hospital of some sort as this relative died 1942 of Cardiac failure and Congenital mental deficiency, both his parents had died and his death was registered by M A Cornish present at death, the address was the same for both which is
"Woolton"
Deangate Lane,
Formby.

Many thanks for any help
