my dads great uncle was a telegraph fitter on the 1901 census.Does anyone know what this is? Annie

Im having a wild guess but I think it's either fitting the actual telegraph machines and wires or re-fitting broken wires...like a telegraph engineer

He was living in Charlton in Kent. Annie
