Hi

Is there anyone living in Aberdeen who would be willing to visit St Clements churchyard to see if there is a tombstone for my James MACKIE (of Mackie Place, Aberdeen) who died 25 Oct 1855 and could be buried with his wife Elspeth and perhaps children.

Hope some can help a kiwi from down under.

Cheers,
Ronald

John

Dear Ronald,
The Aberdeen & NE Scotland Family History Society have a list of transcriptions of North East Scotland graveyards, including the Monumental Inscriptions of St Clements.

Their website is http://www.anesfhs.org.uk/

Let me know how you get on, as this was the Church that as a boy I worshipped in. Unfortunately it is now in a state of disrepair.
