.. i am trying to find imfo reguarding a marrage of a Teresa Hooley b 1888 & Enoch Sherwin b 1904. i have found newspaper items sayin that she married in 1922 & her married name was BUTLER but nothing on marrage to Enoch Sherwin. ive looked but cant seem 2 find anything. the only livin memeber of the Sherwin side has been asked & re asked if there was deffo a marrage & she sure there was . So pls any help on things or places i could try would b most greatfull .

thats were my probs start julie re the marrage of her & Enoch its more "ive been told" than found fact. As the marrage to Mr Butler all i no is it was in 1922. you see my problems??

well Enoch would only have been 18 in 1922 maybe she married him later as Butler,she was about 16 years older than him ??

Hooley marriages at the mo go up to 1927..i have found her brother but can see nothing for her

Seeing as she is a bit older than him i was looking for another marriahe for her but still nothing

i just find it so strange the fact that sure she did marry in to the SHERWIN famiy that i cant find any details what so ever on it.

well if the marriage to Butler was her first marriage she was c 34 then, maybe she was married before Butler too

have looked through 1922 marriages and there isnt one for Teresa Hooley

SHE WAS BORN IN 1888 RISLEY,
MARRIED 1922 ( 1 paper says 1920)
MARRIAGE WAS DISSOLVED!!!!???
( SORRY IT LOOKS LIKLY SHE MARRIED SAID BUTLER ABOARD AS IT SAYS SHE MOVED BACK FROM EGYPT IN THE 30'S sorry about that mistake)


But that still doesnt take into account why i cant find a marrage to Enoch??

I know you say someone said she definitely married into the family but...

I always knew that my grandparents never married. A few months ago I made contact with a cousin of my grandmother, who was born next door to my grandfather & knew the whole family very well. My grandfather got this gentleman his first job & he lived in the same street as both my grandparents from childhood right up to 1953 (he was born 1923)

He couldn't believe it when I told him they didn't marry. He was sure they did.

i goin to ask again because its very strange that nothing can be found if it true??
