Reggie,
No it doesn;t help in finding marriage, but I thought I would put the 1891 as I didn't know whether Linda had the other children as she only mention the 1, then if she wanted the info of it I would have gave it her..

Putting together the information from the 1891 census record page on ancestry with what is actually on the image, I have come up with the following.

Bessie Blanch Griffiths 3 b.ca 1888, Coastguard Station, Falmouth
Caroline J Griffiths 35 b.ca 1856, Devonport, Devon, Widow, Charwoman
Frances Beatrice Griffiths 2 b.ca 1889, Mulberg Square, Falmouth
Ledia Louisa Griffiths 8 b.ca 1883, Coastguard Sttaion, Ireland
Mary Martha Griffiths 6 b.ca 1885, Coastguard Station, Falmouth

Address:- 14 Beacon Street, Falmouth

John James Griffiths 9 <<<<< has nothing to do with the Griffiths family, his name is actually John James Roberts and he lives with his mother Mary Anna Long in another part of the same house.

I also looked on www.freebmd.org.uk, and couldn't find the marriage.

This could mean a) they didn't marry in either England or Wales (which is what freebmd carries), that fits in with Reggie's suggestion that they may have married in Ireland

or b) they didn't marry at all, just lived common law (not at all uncommon even back then!)

Poor little mites!

This indicates that either Croline died, or she couldn't keep Bessie any longer
