german birth certificate tips

im recently having alot of difficulty finding the birth of one o f my relations and am not sure where to start with him. i know where and when he was born but i dont know where to look to find it so i can send for a birth cert any tips of what to do?

Do you mean actual German cert or born in Germany to english parents. If the later, Findmypast had military and consular births, if the former, you have to know where they were born and apply to the registrar for the district they were born in, not like the english central system.

i mean a german cert he was born in prussia in germany and i think his parents were also german

You have to apply to the registrar of the district they were born in. Have a look here. may be some tips:-
