I have been trying for a long time to find my g.grandfather on the 1891 census .
They are transcribed as Smell on the 1901 .

The reason i asked was that there first child May Smelt born 1895 was born at 5 Providence Place ,Alicia st Scarbrough .
I have just been going over my paper work on this lot and noticed in 1881 census her grandmother was living at that address on her own and her grandfather was living somewhere else .

Stephen James Smelt there son . [known as Charles on 1901 ] and family ,May there second child was born at that address ,just trying to see if there is a link .
