The above will not state Henry's parents but may give helpful witnesses. He must be the Henry James Tabraham who dies in 1878, Islington area, although no relevant baptism on the IGI in the Highgate area but then not all baptisms are there.
You may need to pay a visit to the London Metropolitan Archives to search for his baptism.

If you can't visit try putting in a request on the records office tab on this site - although at present may be a fairly random and therefore lengthy search.

The marriage is recorded in Pallots, Henry Tabraham and Maria Wells (says Mana Wells) 1833 Clerkenwell.

About Pallots:-

The original paper slips of the Pallot Index are owned and held at The Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies, Canterbury, England. The Institute may have access to fuller details that may have survived among the original parish records. (www.ihgs.ac.uk) The Institute is a not-for-profit educational organization and researches in the records themselves can be arranged. Please visit their website for additional information about the services they provide.

You can get online and ask for a copy.

There's a baptism on the IGI of a Henry Charles Tabrehem to a Henry and Maria 21 June 1835, Chiddingfold, Surrey which seems to be the only baptism in that parish to this Henry and Maria.

Thanks Una, I beleive that is them on the 1861 census.

I guess if I'm looking for Henry and Maria's parents, I need to see if it's possible to find there marriage cert.

I have just found a Henry Abram on the 1851 census aged 42 in the Lambeth district. Perhaps the T got added in front of the surname at some stage, or it might have been omitted by the transcriber who had never heard of the surname Tabram. Perhaps somebody can look at the image for you if you dont have access to the images.

I just wondered as it is a most unusual surname. I looked on the censuses for a Henry Tabraham and there were no results, but there were plenty for Henry Abraham.

I can't be sure, but from this couples grandchildren the surname changed to Tabram and that surname stayed the same up til today.

Is his surname really Tabraham or is he Henry T. Abraham? (I know how easy it is to make a typo, computers think they know best.)

I am returning to part of my tree that hasn't progressed for a year or two, I am looking for parents, siblings and the area lived, born and married for the couple below.

Henry Tabraham c1812 married Maria Wells c1809

There children Henry, Alfred and Lavinia I believe are all from North London.

Any tips will be gratefully received.
Thanks
