Question about Death Records found on Ancestry

I've found this death on Ancestry:

Mary Emmett 1842 Apr-May-Jun Bury

There is no birth year stated - did they only record the birth year on later registrations?

I think the age of death was added after 1865 or there abouts.

Birthdate , if known by the informant was added after 1969.

Yes that is correct, cannot find when it was added, and then changed again to show date of birth, but cannot remember when!

An age (probably to the best of the informants knowledge) was added around 1867

Researching:
Middlesex, Berkshire and Somerset
