Linking Births, Marriages and Deaths ?

If you find the birth certificate of somebody is there any way of then finding when/where they died or is this just wishful thinking !!

I doubt that when the birth was registered that the informant knew when they were going to die.
Sorry - it's a matter of check, recheck, and check again.

Am trying to find someone who died in the 1980's and wondered if when the death was registered it was somehow linked to the birth certificate IYKWIM.

Deaths in the 1980's should give you the date of birth, however,this is only as good as the informants knowledge, but it wont give you the place of birth.
