The other Percy Burns was from Old Trafford, Manchester and his father was James Burns.

Thanks Sam .. it was worth a try.

There was a Percy Burns showing when I looked on Ancestry but couldn't view it and just wanted to make sure it wasn't him before I paid up.

His Service Records or Pension Records are not on Ancestry. There are a couple of medal cards that could be his but there is no other info on them than a name.

This is my grandad and as there are no surviving relatives in his family this is my last chance that I might find his war record and get a photograph ?
