Missing from 1901 census

If the boat was in dock he will be recorded however if he was out at sea then probably not. the skipper may have thought it was a good let out not to fill in the census form

Hi, Having trouble try ing to locate my Grandad on the 1901 census, I think he might have been a fisherman at the time, is there anyway of finding him if he was on a fishing boat?
