Currently, maiden names are additionally shown on death certificates but the death is usually registered in the married name.

Maiden names have not always been added, only since about 1969.?

Usually with her married name. But that depends if she is still going by that name, and who registered the death.

The cert. would be in her current name.

Hi
I'm fairly new at this so could someone answer what I hope is a simple question.

When a married woman dies, is the death certificate in her current (married) name or her maiden name?

Thanks in anticipation
