I can not make that fit to surname of Gregory. It does look like Gething.

I cannot find the Gregory's in 1881 and have come across many misspellings .. the parents and childrens names and ages match on this one so thought it was worth a try.

Hi Jim

Am still on the hunt for William Gregory on the 1881 census. Am looking at misspellings as you found him as Gregan on the 1871.

Sarah Gregory b1858
William Gregory b1878 .. born Madeley, staffs
Mary Gregory b1880 ...... born Pontefract, Yorkshire

Am now thinking they may be visiting another area at the time of the census .. desperation has set in !!!!
