I am grateful of all the help everyone is giving me and I know I have asked about this a few times now as I am so frustrated, just can't get round it. Just read rules though and it said I shouldn't submit data more than once, so sorry. thank you glitter baby and to everyone else for your help.

Have been trying to find John William Slater birth (Jack) for nearly 3 yrs now, born c 1879 possibly Kent due to family hearsay. Father was George and in Merchant Navy, dead at time of JW marriage. JW had no contact with family after marrying my GGM. There is a JW birth in Kent but father is Richard and not connected with sea so no good. Have exhausted all leads. Any help, can I find out his DOB from any other documents?
