What information is on a death certificate ?

I have narrowed the search down to 2 possibilities for the death of my grandad. One is in Harrow and one in Fylde, Lancs.

If I order a death certificate for the most likely one which is Harrow what information will it give me ? Does it give next of kin information or does it say 'who' the person registering the death is ie not just a name ?

Thanks

Melanie

A death cert.will have the place the person passed away ( often that is their home address ) the relationship of the person who registers the death is usually mentioned and the cause of death of course.

AND

the information on a death certificate is only as good as the informant knew

so age can be wrong

name might be wrong

occupation may be wrong

etc, etc
