Just had a look on the Lancashire Online Parish Clerk website - there are some 18th century marriages mentioned and a couple of Gorings who may be of interest:

"16 Oct 1738
Thomas Goring, widower, hater, of Ribchester
Mary Carefoot, spinster, of Ribchester"

"13 Jan 1739
Thomas Goring, widower, of Ribchester
Sarah Emet, widow, of Ribchester"

"4 Dec 1758
John Goring, hatter, of Ribchester
Mary Hayhurst, spinster, of Ribchester
Wit: Robert Slater Wm. Balshaw"

Just wondering - the parish records may well be at Preston records office. I know Ribchester is quite near Preston but Manchester is a good distance from either place for that time (not that it would be impossible if you really wanted to travel, I suppose).

Where were the birth details you found?

On a Robert Gorings birth details it reads That his father, also named Robert was born in Gorton.

If you haven't found his birth record how do you know where he was born? There were no certificates then and babies weren't always baptised in their birth parishes.

You can tentatively assume that the bride was from the parish where they married or that was her home parish at the time. However even that isn't always so.

The actual parish register would perhaps say if the groom came from a different parish but that isn't guaranteed either.

If you can't find his baptism on the IGI you could try finding out if the local Family History Society has transcribed baptisms. You might get lucky and find the right parish records online but the odds are you will need to find either an online parish clerk who is happy to do a lookup or visit the nearest Records Office.
