Have you thought of writing to a local paper in the area you're after? I did that when I was trying to find out about my grandad and someone sent a letter back with some photos and details of how they remembered my grandad looking and so on.

If it's within living memory (by the sound of it, it is) you might get contacted by people who went to school or work with the people you're hunting for.

Hi Liz,

What years have you tried for the elec rolls ? since 2003 there has been the option to not have your details shown on the later ones.
I have the 2002 elec roll I can take a look for you if it is not to common a name pm me the details.

Thanks to all - I have tried a friends reunited and genes reunited search with no luck. I have searched the bmd's and think from the birth of a child, they had moved to the Huntingdon area - this was in the late l960's. Have contacted several people with the same names/initials, but still nothing. Will keep trying,

Hi.

There's also b4usearch.com - but I think this is only electoral registers, and you say you've searched those.
You could also place an advert in the paper local to where you think they might be -they might see it & respond.

Good luck.

Please has anyone any suggestions how I can find a living person and their family, when I have searched the electoral rolls and phone directory with no success.
Thanks, Liz
