Maybe not, as there are some Richardson mmn Ritson births in the area:

Births Jun 1923
Richardson Margaret Ritson Lanchester 10a 733

Births Mar 1926
Richardson Wilfred Ritson Lanchester 10a 620

Richardson Joan Ritson Tynemouth 10b 542

I checked the the full index (not FreeBMD), and there's a marriage of a William H Richardson to a Ritson in Q2, 1923 - Tynemouth, 10b 362. So that would seem to be the corresponding entry to the marriage that Barry found above. Of course, it still doesn't rule out the possibility of a stuff-up on the index, but quite possibly it is correct which would mean its not the one you're after.

Then again, maybe Isabella did in fact marry William Richardson - but ended up living with James Sennet instead - claiming to be married to him and having a family by him! In which case it's probably still worth getting the Ritson/Richardson cert as that will have her father's name & occupation on it, so you'll be able to tell if she's yours or not.

Can anyone help! Tried after several attempts to find marriage date in the indexes for JAMES SENNETT (born circa 1890) and ISABELLA RITSON (1896) both born Northumberland. Had children Norman 1924, Anthony 1926 and others in the North East. Moved to Yorkshire with my grandfather in the late 1920's/early 30's. Know they definetely married as on one of children's birth certificates. CAn anyone please help find the marriage record and date or year, driving me potty!!
