Just wondering what other people have found with regards to age gaps for husband and wife, and how was it looked upon.

I have just found someone in my tree who was 25 when he married his 57 year old bride in 1891.

Hi Derbylass,

Yes have checked them, and even the deaths, he died 1941 age 76 and she died 1907 age 72, although on the 1901 census she is the head of the household saying age 58 and he his 45.

When my GGG Grandmother married her 2nd husband there was a gap of 42 years...she was 40 he was 82
