Hi,
Looking for John Knott.Born abt 1806 (G G Grandad) marrird Ann ?Possibley Sheffield Yorkshire.
He features on 1841 Census Sheffield with Ann (b abt 1806)
Missing on 1851 Census.
Children;(that I have found)
William (G Grandad)1841c
Jane 1829
Mary 1827
Charles 1833
Thomas 1839
Joseph 1843
Ann 1844
Sarah 1849 all born Sheffield.
I cant find a marriage, birth or death for John 1806.There are so many Knotts and not sure if he came from Sheffield
On Williams marriage certificate 1865 he was living at Washington Road Sheffield and John his father was down as a Grinder but it does not say whether he was deceased or not.But the certificate was signed by George and Jane Clayford.I think this Jane was poss Williams sister b 1829
Can anyone help.

Ann is a widow in 1851 census.

Maybe Johns death reg?

Possible for John from IGI?? The only one I can see with the spelling as Knott
