Lissy, you have my sympathy. I cannot find the m of my gt gt grandparents William Backhouse and Catherine Bettany. He was b in Cheadle in Staffs and she was b in Dilhorn also in Staffs but their children were all b in Liverpool. I think they merely cohabited. But at least we know who their parents were.
There is another gt gt grandfather who is my brick wall. I have his m cert but dont know where he was born, although I do have his d.o.b. from a family birthday book. I cannot find him on the 1841 census although his wife is there as 'the wife of Thomas Taylor' and as he died before the 1851 census I cannot see any hope of finding any more about him.
Huia.

We have just recently discovered that one of our ancestors Susannah Anthony had the married name of Morris. But we have no idea who she married or where.

She was mentioned as a sister to James Anthony in his 1784 will made in Worcester England. No marriage records have been found for her in the Worcs. records, and as far as I know there is no record of a marriage for her in the Hereford records either.

It's possible that it took place in Shropshire, but we're clutching at straws!

As we still haven't found her or her siblings parents, we have no clue as to where she was born, just that it was around the 1719 -1730 time, and that this Anthony family had strong ties to Worcester, but also close links to Shropshire and Herefordshire.

If anyone can find the marriage of Susannah Morris nee Anthony dating around 1740-1770 ish, I know it's a wide margin but we'd be very grateful for any clues or help
